Turbine Design Engineer – Components Manufacturing

About the role

Join Siemens Energy as a Gas Turbine Design Engineer focused on components manufacturing. You will bridge design and production, ensuring new turbine parts move smoothly from concept to series manufacturing while tackling technical challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new product manufacturing processes at supplier sites in line with internal specifications and industry standards.
• Handle manufacturing deviations and non‑conformances, assessing impact on cost, performance and durability.
• Perform dimensional evaluations, tolerance stack‑ups, fit and clearance analyses.
• Provide technical expertise to internal and external suppliers for gas‑turbine production support.
• Evaluate manufacturing methods to ensure proper implementation of technical requirements.
• Ensure adherence to Design‑for‑Manufacturing principles, including drafting and revising product definitions.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to introduce innovative designs and improve efficiency.

Required profile

• B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace or Industrial Engineering.
• Several years of experience in aerospace or industrial gas‑turbine design or manufacturing.
• Deep knowledge of turbine components, tolerance principles, stack‑up analysis and assembly considerations.
• Experience with SAP, Teamcenter, Lotus Notes or comparable quality data‑management systems.
• Expertise in investment casting and both conventional and non‑conventional machining.
• Strong motivation, safety awareness and efficient task execution.
• Fluent English and German.
