VIE – Design Management System (d/f/m)

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a motivated graduate for a 12‑month VIE (Volunteer for International Experience) in Design Management System. Based at the Donauwörth site, you will support the Design Organisation Approval (DOA) function, gaining insight into how a major helicopter manufacturer interacts with airworthiness authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in updating and maintaining Design Organisation Manuals and related procedural references.
• Support compliance monitoring to ensure design processes align with civil and military airworthiness regulations.
• Prepare documentation and assist in audits and meetings with airworthiness authorities (e.g., EASA).
• Manage DOA dashboards and data repositories.
• Help maintain the DO‑PO interface between Airbus Helicopters and external stakeholders.
• Track changes in international aviation regulations and communicate updates to engineering teams.

Required profile

• University degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Highly motivated graduate, aged 18‑28, and citizen of an EU member state (including Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein).
• Strong interest in aerospace regulations and design management.
