Workday Functional Consultant – Core HR

About the role

Empiric is supporting a major enterprise client in Berlin with a 12‑month Core HR programme. The role focuses on implementing, configuring, optimizing and enhancing Workday Core HCM/Core HR while collaborating closely with HR stakeholders, project teams and technical consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and optimise Workday Core HR and Core HCM solutions.
• Gather and analyse business requirements from HR stakeholders.
• Support business process configuration, security settings and organisational structures.
• Facilitate workshops, solution design sessions and process‑mapping activities.
• Assist with testing, UAT, defect resolution, data migration and go‑live activities.
• Create functional documentation, configuration workbooks and training materials.
• Provide post‑go‑live enhancements and continuous improvement support.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Workday Functional Consultant on implementation or enhancement projects.
• Strong stakeholder‑management, workshop‑facilitation and communication skills.
• Fluent English; German language skills are a plus.

Required skills

• Workday Core HR / Core HCM configuration.
• Workday certification (preferred).
