Working Student – Global Own Brand Communication & Activation

About the role

We are looking for a motivated working student to join our Global Own Brand Communication & Activation team. You will help increase the visibility of METRO’s own brands across multiple markets, channels and touch‑points while gaining hands‑on experience in international brand marketing.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and rollout of global communication packages for key own brands such as METRO Chef, METRO Professional, Rioba and Fine Life.
• Track and analyse own‑brand performance in different countries.
• Assist the Own Brand Communication Manager in creating sales and activation materials.
• Coordinate marketing activities with external agencies, photographers and internal cross‑functional teams (Marketing, Sales Force, Digital).
• Collaborate with the Social Media team to prepare content for digital channels.
• Provide ongoing support to country‑specific own‑brand teams.

Required profile

• Creative thinker who enjoys brainstorming innovative communication strategies.
• Strong interest in digital touch‑points such as social media and websites.
• Comfortable working in an international, cross‑functional environment.
• Good project‑management and stakeholder‑communication skills.
• Fluent in English for effective collaboration.
