Freelance MEP Site Manager – Data Centre Sub‑Station (Frankfurt)

About the role

We are looking for a freelance MEP Site Manager to lead the mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) works on a high‑profile data centre sub‑station construction in Frankfurt. The role starts on 1 June and runs for nine months, coordinating all on‑site MEP activities from installation through to commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and supervise all MEP installations on site, ensuring they meet design specifications and programme milestones.
• Manage MEP subcontractors, monitor their performance and enforce compliance with German regulations, health‑and‑safety standards and project quality requirements.
• Serve as the primary interface between construction, design, client and commissioning teams, facilitating clear communication and issue resolution.
• Review and approve method statements, risk assessments and technical submittals related to MEP works.
• Track progress against the project schedule, report on performance, identify risks and propose mitigation actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an MEP Site Manager or Construction Manager on large‑scale projects.
• Previous involvement in data‑centre or sub‑station projects is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of German site safety regulations and construction standards.
• Fluent English; German language skills are a plus.
