Global Compensation & Benefits Director

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Compensation and Benefits Director to lead the global reward strategy for a world‑renowned manufacturing organisation. Based in Freiburg, you will join the global HR leadership team and influence compensation, benefits, mobility and performance frameworks across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a global compensation and benefits strategy aligned with long‑term business goals.
• Oversee job architecture, salary structures, market benchmarking and annual reward cycles.
• Design incentive programmes, executive compensation and expatriate mobility frameworks.
• Drive global benefits, wellbeing initiatives and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Provide expert advice to senior leadership and HR partners on reward and performance matters.

Required profile

• 10+ years of compensation and benefits experience in a complex, international organisation.
• Background in manufacturing, industrial or engineering environments.
• Proven expertise in global reward frameworks, job evaluation and executive pay.
• Strong analytical, financial and influencing abilities with a global mindset.

Required skills

• HRIS and reward system knowledge.
