Head of Operations

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Head of Operations who lives and breathes quick‑service restaurant (QSR) environments. You will lead the Operations Managers across Germany and Austria, turning performance data into clear, actionable plans while staying close to the floor through regular store visits.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop Operations Managers to achieve targets in sales, guest experience, speed, quality and labour efficiency.
• Own and continuously improve the operations playbook, ensuring standards are applied in every restaurant.
• Partner with Training & L&D to design and roll out onboarding and management development programmes.
• Support new store openings – from pre‑opening planning to on‑site ramp‑up and handover.
• Drive recruitment for key operational roles in collaboration with HR and local management.
• Monitor KPIs (sales, labour %, food cost, speed of service, guest satisfaction, audit scores) and translate them into priority action plans.
• Conduct regular restaurant visits to ensure brand and food‑safety standards are met.
• Act as an operations liaison for Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and other cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Several years of multi‑unit operations experience in QSR or fast‑casual concepts.
• Deep knowledge of system gastronomy, including labour management, food safety, throughput and guest experience.
• Proven leadership of Operations/Area/District Managers and large frontline teams.
• Strong analytical ability to work with KPIs and communicate insights clearly.
• People‑focused, approachable and able to build trust quickly.
• Can‑do, pragmatic attitude with calmness under pressure.
• Fluent in German and English (B2 minimum); additional languages are a plus.

• Competitive salary range of €80,000 – €90,000 per year plus additional benefits.
