Legal Counsel – In‑house (m/f/d)

About the role

We are looking for our first in‑house Legal Counsel to join Yepoda’s fast‑growing team in Berlin. You will act as a trusted business partner, providing pragmatic legal support across e‑commerce, marketing, product, supply chain and HR.

Key responsibilities

• Provide commercial‑focused legal advice to all business units.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts such as supplier, distribution, agency, NDAs and influencer agreements.
• Manage GDPR and data‑protection matters in close collaboration with the Data Protection Officer and external counsel.
• Support corporate law issues, including equity compensation programmes and corporate governance.
• Monitor regulatory developments (product compliance, labelling, EU cosmetics regulations) and advise the business.
• Handle IP matters, including trademark registration, enforcement and licensing.
• Oversee relationships with external law firms, ensuring cost‑effective service.
• Identify legal risks and create scalable processes, templates and guidelines.
• Assist with M&A, fundraising and investor‑related activities as needed.

Required profile

• Fully qualified German law degree (Volljurist/in, 2nd State Exam) or equivalent qualification.
• 7+ years of professional experience, preferably with a reputable law firm and some in‑house exposure at a startup or consumer company.
• Broad commercial‑law background with expertise in contract law, GDPR/data protection and IP.
• Experience in e‑commerce, consumer goods or retail is a strong plus.
• Self‑starter able to operate as a generalist in a fast‑paced environment.
