Quantitative Analyst – Python‑focused Data Research Role

About the role

This position sits at the intersection of quantitative research, data engineering, and analytical problem‑solving within a fast‑paced research environment in Germany. You will support quantitative researchers by ensuring high‑quality datasets, building internal tools, and improving research workflows, all while working primarily with Python.

Key responsibilities

• Discover, validate, clean, and maintain datasets used in research and production environments.
• Monitor production systems, analyse logs and investigate data or system inconsistencies.
• Support ad‑hoc research requests and perform exploratory data analysis as needed.
• Design and build internal tools, scripts and automation utilities using Python.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers and engineers to improve research infrastructure and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Highly analytical, detail‑oriented and comfortable working with large, complex datasets.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and curiosity for understanding technical systems.
• Background in STEM fields such as Mathematics, Computer Science or Engineering is a plus.
• No prior experience in finance or quantitative trading required.
