Regulatory Counsel (Germany)

About the role

Revolut is seeking a Regulatory Legal Counsel based in Germany to provide practical legal advice on its financial products. You will work closely with product, compliance and engineering teams to ensure new and existing payment and banking features meet regulatory requirements across the EEA.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on compliance and legal issues related to the structuring of new and existing financial products.
• Draft customer‑facing legal documents for payments and banking services.
• Help shape product features while managing regulatory expectations, applications and approvals.
• Engage with European and local regulators to address queries and negotiate requirements.
• Handle complex legal matters with tight turnaround times, balancing commercial goals and risk mitigation.

Required profile

• 5+ years post‑qualification experience in financial regulation.
• Strong academic credentials and sound judgement under pressure.
• Proven ability to make decisions in ambiguous situations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and German.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of German and EEA financial regulations, including PSD2 and CRD.
