Business Development Manager – AI & Compliance Projects

About the role

As a Business Development Manager at Westwing, you will lead high‑priority projects for the Westwing Collection, focusing on AI‑driven automation and emerging compliance topics such as the Digital Product Passport. Based in Munich, you will own each work package from planning through cross‑functional execution to successful rollout.

Key responsibilities

• Scope, design, and deploy AI agents that automate and streamline collection workflows, identifying new automation opportunities.
• Manage project delivery for new compliance initiatives, coordinating data collection, requirements, and implementation to meet regulatory deadlines.
• Take ownership of the PLM system, driving adjustments and continuous improvement to match evolving business needs.
• Define and track project plans, including milestones, budgets, resources, and risks, and proactively resolve obstacles.
• Collaborate closely with legal, product, tech, and quality teams to translate regulatory and process requirements into actionable solutions.
• Maintain clear project documentation and status reporting for senior leadership.

Required profile

• 3+ years of project‑management experience, preferably with regulatory/compliance or digital‑transformation projects.
• Hands‑on experience with AI tools and agent‑building platforms, such as LLM‑based agents or workflow automation solutions.
• Experience working with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and configuring them to business needs.
• Proactive, structured, and detail‑oriented mindset capable of navigating ambiguity.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills; fluency in English, German a plus.
