About the role
The Business Development Specialist will support Catalent’s Business Development team in driving revenue growth across the EMEA region. Working remotely from Germany, you will focus on lead generation, customer engagement, and the creation of competitive commercial proposals.
Key responsibilities
- Support lead generation, prospecting and pipeline development within the assigned territory.
- Engage with customers and prospects to understand their needs and present Catalent’s capabilities.
- Identify, qualify and track new business opportunities in the CRM system.
- Coordinate RFIs, QIFs, quotations and proposal development with internal teams (operations, project management, client services).
- Assist with pricing, scope definition and commercial documentation.
- Act as a commercial interface during early‑stage opportunities and support team members during absences.
- Provide market intelligence, competitive analysis and support territory planning.
- Ensure CRM accuracy, reporting and compliance with internal processes.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Life Sciences or related field).
- 1‑3 years of experience in business development, sales support, lead generation or B2B commercial roles.
- Experience in regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, biotech or clinical services is a plus.
- Fluent in English and German; French is beneficial.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
- Ability to use AI tools for data analysis and workflow automation.
