C-UAS Payload Integration Engineer

About the role

Stark is seeking a C‑UAS Payload Integration Engineer to act as the technical glue that unites hardware, payload and embedded subsystems into a single, functional system. You will work side‑by‑side with engineering teams, translating requirements across disciplines and ensuring seamless integration in a fast‑moving defence R&D environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day technical integration across hardware, payload and embedded subsystems.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, design and verification, applying disciplined integration processes.
• Resolve interface conflicts and technical dependencies before they become blockers.
• Introduce structured documentation and change‑control without slowing program velocity.
• Work hands‑on on the test floor and bench to solve problems directly.
• Partner with the integration lead to validate decisions and shape the growing integration team.
• Report integration status, risks and blockers to program leadership.

Required profile

• Proven system integration experience in hardware, payload, embedded, defence or aviation environments.
• Technical depth to collaborate as a peer with engineers across multiple disciplines.
• Track record of owning technical dependencies and interfaces on complex, multi‑team programs.
• Background in systems/hardware engineering or technical program management with hands‑on integration exposure.
