Electronics Engineer – Counter-UAS Systems

About the role

STARK is developing next‑generation counter‑UAS hardware and needs an Electronics Engineer to lead the electrical design of its systems. Based in Munich, you will own the schematic capture, PCB layout and integration of high‑performance RF, power and digital subsystems that operate in demanding defence environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and validate electrical systems and subsystems for the C‑UAS product line.
• Own schematic capture, PCB layout review and electrical architecture documentation from concept to production release.
• Support hardware integration, bring‑up and troubleshooting across RF, power and digital domains, including SBCs, flight controllers, radio links and high‑power propulsion (EDFs/BLDC motors).
• Collaborate with mechanical, software and systems engineers to resolve cross‑discipline design conflicts early.
• Define and execute electrical test plans, including EMC/EMI considerations for field‑deployed defence systems.
• Participate in design reviews (PDR, CDR) and produce clear technical documentation.
• Liaise with suppliers and contract manufacturers on component selection, lead times and production quality.
• Support field trials and customer demonstrations to validate electrical performance.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 4+ years of hardware/electrical engineering experience, preferably in defence, aerospace or high‑reliability product environments.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB design tools (Altium preferred).
• Strong understanding of power electronics, signal integrity and mixed‑signal design.
• Familiarity with EMC standards and design‑for‑manufacture principles.
