Flight Test Engineer – Lead Onsite Test Coordination

About the role

STARK is looking for a Flight Test Engineer to act as the conductor of the flight line for its high‑performance unmanned systems. You will own the full lifecycle of flight test campaigns, from planning and hazard assessment through execution and data analysis, while ensuring a safe, disciplined, and high‑tempo testing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily onsite operations, maintain the Daily Flight Schedule and coordinate pilots, engineers and support staff.
• Conduct pre‑flight briefings and evening debriefs, capturing feedback and setting next‑day goals.
• Plan, execute and document UAV flight tests in line with regulatory and STARK safety standards.
• Develop flight test techniques, instrumentation, and flight readiness reviews.
• Design comprehensive test plans, test cards and hazard assessments.
• Process and analyse flight data using MATLAB or Python to validate performance.
• Manage configuration of test articles, tracking hardware and software versions.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in aerospace or related engineering discipline.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams in a test‑oriented environment.
• Ability to communicate priorities clearly and maintain rigorous safety documentation.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a focus on data‑driven insights.
