IT Support Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Technician to join our client’s IT department in Darmstadt. The role is fully on‑site and involves providing first‑ and second‑line support for Windows and Apple devices, as well as assisting the broader user community with corporate applications.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑ and second‑line support for on‑site and remote users on Windows and macOS devices.
• Log, categorize, and follow up on user requests to ensure timely resolution.
• Deploy, maintain, and replace workstations, laptops, mobile devices, and printers.
• Maintain and update the Knowledge Base, procedures, and working instructions.
• Provide guidance on corporate services and applications such as SAP, Adobe, and Microsoft Office.
• Perform inventory and asset management, including reporting.
• Communicate status updates to end‑users regarding installations, relocations, and equipment recovery.

Required profile

• Vocational training in Information Technology or a related field; a Bachelor’s degree in IT is a strong asset.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in desktop support.
• Proven experience supporting Windows and macOS client devices.
• Experience with networking (LAN, Wi‑Fi), printers, and mobile devices.
• Familiarity with corporate applications such as SAP, Adobe, MS Office, encryption tools, and O365 (preferred).
• Strong customer‑focused attitude, excellent communication skills, and ability to work autonomously or in a team.
