Manufacturing Engineer – Industrialization & DFM

About the role

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who will act as the bridge between R&D and mass production for high‑performance unmanned systems. The role focuses on industrialization, design for manufacturing (DFM) and risk mitigation to ensure new products can be produced at scale with high yield and low cost.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D during early design phases to conduct DFM and DFA reviews and simplify designs for automated production.
• Lead PFMEA workshops, document findings and implement mitigation strategies to reduce manufacturing risks.
• Own the ramp‑up process, tracking the transition from prototype to pilot runs and full‑scale production.
• Define early‑stage quality criteria, design assembly fixtures and work with quality teams to validate production processes.
• Provide technical feedback to R&D on tolerance stack‑ups, material selection and manufacturing capabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in new‑product‑introduction or industrialization, moving products from lab to factory floor.
• Strong understanding of PFMEA methodology and DFM/DFA principles.

Required skills

• PFMEA execution and documentation.
• Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) analysis.
• 3D CAD modelling – SolidWorks, Creo or equivalent.
