Mechanical Engineer – Autonomous Counter-UAS Systems

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to develop the mechanical systems that power Omnisent’s autonomous Counter‑UAS platform. You will work from concept through to field‑ready hardware, ensuring our sensors, interceptors and enclosures meet the demanding requirements of outdoor, weather‑resistant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design mechanical structures and enclosures for sensors, interceptors and related hardware.
• Create and iterate CAD models and detailed technical drawings for new and existing components.
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for rugged, field‑deployed equipment.
• Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles in close collaboration with production and procurement teams.
• Support prototyping, testing and iterative improvement based on flight‑test and field feedback.
• Work closely with electronics, RF and flight‑test engineers to integrate mechanical designs into complete systems.

Required profile

• Strong background in mechanical design and hands‑on experience with CAD tools.
• Proven ability to design for manufacturability and for rugged, outdoor applications.
• Understanding of material selection for weather‑proof and high‑reliability hardware.
• EU work authorization.
