Pre-Project Manager

About the role

As a Pre-Project Manager at Tetra Pak in Munich, you will lead the technical pre‑project phase for processing and integrated solutions, ensuring cost, time, quality and scope are met while supporting sales and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop technical concepts, process designs and line solutions aligned with Tetra Pak standards.
• Calculate costs, prepare quotations and contracting documents for small to large‑scale projects.
• Define deliverables and scope together with customers based on strategic and economic evaluations.
• Organise and lead design, risk, and performance reviews, managing schedules and commissioning commitments.
• Coordinate closely with Supply Management and the pre‑project team, providing coaching and team‑building support.
• Act as the pre‑project manager for opportunities ranging from medium to large scale, ensuring smooth hand‑over to implementation teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Process or Food Engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience in engineering, commissioning and project leadership within the food or liquid processing industry.
• Fluent German (native level) and strong English communication skills.
• Proven experience delivering processing solutions, managing bids and tendering processes.
• Customer‑focused with strong negotiation and analytical problem‑solving abilities.
