Product Technical Expert Manager – NPI (Semiconductor)

About the role

Leads the Product Technical Excellence (PTE) function, serving as the technical authority across New Product Introduction (NPI) and the product lifecycle. Owns design robustness, manufacturability and performance while driving DFx‑led engineering excellence and seamless product industrialisation through strong cross‑functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Disciplinary lead of a team of more than 10 product technical experts, defining vision, mission and strategy of PTE.
• Act as the technical authority for NPI, ensuring robust product design, performance and manufacturability.
• Embed DFx principles (DFM, DFA, DFT) early to optimise cost, quality and scalability.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, quality and supply‑chain to enable smooth product industrialisation.
• Assess technical feasibility, risks and readiness, implementing mitigation strategies throughout the NPI lifecycle.
• Lead technical problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis during NPI and series production.
• Ensure accurate technical documentation and compliance with IP, ISO, safety and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Industrial engineering or a related discipline.
• 7‑10 years of progressive experience in product development, R&D or engineering in high‑technology or industrial environments.
• Hands‑on experience leading end‑to‑end NPI from concept through industrialisation and volume production.
• Proven track record as a technical authority for product design, manufacturability and performance.
