Program Schedule Manager (Fusion Demonstrator)

About the role

Proxima Fusion is building Alpha, its first fusion demonstrator, and needs a Program Schedule Manager to own and develop the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). You will define the scheduling architecture and ensure coherent programme visibility across infrastructure, manufacturing and machine engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the IMS architecture, including WBS structure, activity coding, baseline conventions and reporting standards.
• Consolidate sub‑schedules from facilities, plant suppliers, specialist equipment and machine engineering into a single coherent programme view.
• Establish milestones, programme gates, dependencies and schedule interfaces across all workstreams.
• Identify, validate and maintain critical and near‑critical paths, providing early warnings of risks and delays.
• Run schedule analysis to support recovery planning, mitigation actions and trade‑off decisions.
• Maintain the IMS as a live, accurate tool for PMO governance, release‑gate decisions and executive reviews.
• Provide clear schedule insights and recommendations to programme leadership as Alpha scales.
• Drive schedule discipline and alignment across internal teams, suppliers and delivery partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex schedules for large engineering or manufacturing programmes.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess schedule risk and propose mitigation strategies.
• Excellent communication skills to convey schedule insights to senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
