Retail Director Germany & Southern Europe

About the role

The Retail Director for Germany & Southern Europe will execute A. Lange & Söhne’s global retail strategy, drive sales growth, and enhance brand excellence across the region. Reporting to senior leadership, you will lead boutique managers and retail specialists, foster a collaborative culture, and act as a brand ambassador at events and engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and maximise turnover opportunities; develop action plans to meet boutique KPIs and productivity targets.
• Assess sales potential, set targets, and motivate boutique teams to achieve goals.
• Convert direct sales leads, activate product launches, events, walk‑ins and CRM campaigns.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and manage retail budgets (sales, EBIT, PL, HR, T&E, boutique operations).
• Negotiate with stakeholders to meet boutique needs (products, headcount, skills).
• Participate in monthly boutique meetings and quarterly HQ meetings; monitor market trends and competitor performance.
• Support client development, convert direct client leads, and define regional client recruitment strategies with CRM and marketing experts.
• Contribute to regional strategic plans, translate global retail strategies into actionable regional plans, and drive change management.
• Lead DTC business acceleration, internalisation of external boutiques, and involvement in new boutique openings, relocations and renovations.
