Technical Project Manager – Li‑Ion Battery Systems

About the role

This high‑visibility, customer‑facing position supports premium OEM battery programmes for BMW and Audi, working at the forefront of electric‑vehicle and battery innovation. You will lead Li‑Ion battery projects from request‑for‑quotation through to production while acting as the primary technical liaison between the OEMs and global engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Li‑Ion battery projects for major automotive OEMs.
• Serve as the main technical interface between customers and engineering teams.
• Manage technical discussions, workshops, presentations and project meetings.
• Coordinate project timelines, quality, cost and delivery targets.
• Support EV battery system development programmes from concept to launch.
• Build strong relationships with OEM customers through regular site visits.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering.
• Strong automotive engineering background.
• Experience with Li‑Ion battery systems, e‑mobility or EV technology.
• Confident customer‑facing communication skills.
• Proven project coordination and stakeholder management experience.
• Native‑level German and fluent English.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Germany.
