Account Manager – Fragrances (Travel Retail & Area Management)

About the role

We are looking for an Account Manager specialized in fragrances to lead our Travel Retail business and oversee the South Germany, Austria and Hungary area for a 12‑month assignment. You will work closely with commercial and marketing teams to drive sales growth and brand presence across key accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute account‑specific business plans in line with company strategy.
• Analyse account performance, market demographics, brand results and competition to identify opportunities.
• Manage KPIs, sell‑in and sell‑out targets, and create tailored assortments and planograms for each point of sale.
• Prepare annual budget breakdowns, schedule and lead key account meetings, and ensure timely reporting.
• Partner with marketing to design and implement localized marketing plans, negotiate events and launch new products.
• Recruit, train and motivate freelancers and sales staff, managing the freelancer budget and performance targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar account or category management role within FMCG.
• Strong passion for fragrances and the luxury retail sector.
• Highly analytical with the ability to interpret KPI and P&L data.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑changing environment and travelling up to 30% of the time.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Fluent in English and German; French is a plus.
