Concept Designer – Media Scenography & Immersive Experiences (Freelance)

About the role

We are seeking a freelance Concept Designer to develop and shape creative concepts for media scenography, exhibition design and immersive experiences. Working closely with the Creative Director and interdisciplinary teams, you will translate client goals and audience insights into compelling visual narratives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop concepts from initial idea through to final presentation for media scenography, exhibitions and immersive projects.
• Translate client messages and audience insights into clear conceptual and scenographic frameworks.
• Create and guide storyboards, mood boards and visual presentations to communicate ideas.
• Ensure consistency of the concept across all visual elements and communication channels.
• Collaborate with Creative Direction, Content and Technical teams to align storytelling with feasibility.
• Serve as the primary contact for clients on conceptual matters, managing scope, timeline and budget.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging technologies and trends to evolve creative approaches.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in concept development for media scenography, exhibition design or immersive media.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, storytelling and visual translation.
• Ability to craft clear narratives and translate complex content into engaging experiences.
• Experience presenting storyboards, mood boards and concept proposals.
• Good understanding of interdisciplinary workflows across creative, content and technical teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, fluent in English.
• Collaborative mindset and interest in new technologies.
