Data Operations & Labeling Specialist

About the role

Stark is looking for a Data Operations & Labeling Specialist to act as the bridge between raw field data, external labeling partners, and internal machine‑learning teams. You will ensure that AI models are trained on high‑quality, well‑curated datasets, supporting the development of autonomous defence systems.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end data labeling lifecycle: curate raw sensor data, create annotation batches, and deliver them to external vendors.
• Serve as the primary contact for external annotation partners, clarifying edge cases and providing feedback on labeling guidelines.
• Conduct rigorous quality‑assurance checks on incoming labels, track error rates, and generate performance reports.
• Support data‑curation efforts by selecting the most valuable images, video, and LiDAR recordings for model training.
• Collaborate closely with ML engineers to understand data needs, edge cases, and computer‑vision requirements.
• Maintain the data catalog, ensuring datasets are properly tagged and logged.

Required profile

• Highly organized and detail‑oriented, able to manage multiple data batches and vendor deliveries simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with external vendors and writing clear instructions.
• Basic understanding of computer‑vision and machine‑learning concepts.
