DevOps & Developer Infrastructure Engineer (Contract, Munich)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps & Developer Infrastructure Engineer to join a secure communications product team in Munich. This hands‑on position works within an agile Scrum environment, focusing on code‑driven automation, CI/CD pipeline development, and release engineering for regulated software.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Docker and CMake.
• Develop Python scripts to automate build and release processes, improving speed and reliability.
• Own Scrum team work packages, delivering on schedule and within cost targets.
• Collaborate with other development teams on CI/CD best practices and share expertise.
• Conduct code reviews and drive continuous improvement of the toolchain.
• Monitor technology trends and propose enhancements to the development workflow.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent.
• Several years of professional software development and DevOps experience.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems.
• Negotiation‑level German (C1/C2) and at least B2 English.
• EU or NATO citizenship (required for security clearance).
