Engineering Manager – Guest Experience

About the role

You will lead the Discovery team within the Guest Experience department, driving the design and maintenance of the list page that helps travelers find the perfect vacation rental. The role focuses on improving the search experience, increasing conversion rates, and delivering a seamless journey for millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a cross‑functional team of frontend and backend engineers, a project manager and a QA engineer.
• Ensure applications are highly scalable, highly available and can handle up to 1 million unique users per day.
• Define OKRs and roadmap in partnership with product, design and stakeholders.
• Drive strategic technology decisions and uphold quality standards.
• Mentor team members, provide regular feedback and recruit top engineering talent.
• Foster a culture of ownership, autonomy and inclusivity.
• Deliver impactful features to millions of users annually.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading frontend and backend engineering teams.
• Strong track record of building high‑traffic, reliable services.
• Ability to collaborate with product, design, ranking, marketing and other engineering groups.
• Experience setting goals, defining roadmaps and driving execution.
