Front Office Manager

About the role

The Hoxton, Hamburg, the group's second German hotel, is opening soon in the Alter Wall redevelopment project, with 188 bedrooms, a lobby bar, ground-floor restaurant, rooftop restaurant and an event space. It is looking for a Front Office Manager to lead the front office team and deliver a personal, memorable experience for every guest.

Key responsibilities

• Treat every guest as an individual and build loyalty.
• Lead and develop a team of high-energy people by setting and monitoring goals, empowering them and creating an inclusive environment.
• Manage departmental costs and keep expenses within budget guidelines.
• Ensure staff follow hotel SOPs, identify improvements and maintain good relations with housekeeping, maintenance and F&B.
• Know and apply health and safety procedures, and be a member of the hotel crisis and fire teams.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors, and assist the sales and events team with site inspections.

Required profile

• Experience in a similar role, or as an Assistant with a proven track record in front office operations and procedures.
• Passion for hospitality and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Natural leader who leads by example.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including days, nights, weekdays and weekends.

Required skills

• Micros Fidelio Opera or a similar property management system.
• Monitoring and implementing health and safety procedures.
