Full Stack Software Engineer – Billing Team

About the role

Join ClickHouse’s Billing Engineering team to build and operate the billing and metering platform that powers ClickHouse Cloud. You will work on mission‑critical flows that directly impact revenue and customer experience, collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the end‑to‑end billing and metering platform.
• Create robust, high‑availability frameworks that abstract infrastructure complexity.
• Partner with product, security, observability, and support teams to define business strategies and optimal technical solutions.
• Integrate with external systems such as payment processors, usage metering services, logging, monitoring, and support tools.
• Ensure compliance, accuracy, and privacy across all billing processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software development experience, primarily building front‑end systems on the cloud.
• Proven track record of leading and shipping large‑scope technical projects in collaboration with senior engineers.
• Hands‑on experience with billing concepts including credit‑card processing, usage‑based billing, metering, CSP marketplaces, invoicing, sales tax, and auditing.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to operate high‑scale distributed systems throughout the software lifecycle.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
