Head of Information Technology

About the role

We are seeking a senior IT leader to steer the technology function of a fast‑growing, private‑equity backed healthcare services group operating across Germany. Reporting to the CFO, you will manage a team of roughly 35 IT professionals and be responsible for consolidating systems, infrastructure and data‑management applications to support the company’s Buy & Build strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Harmonise, standardise and consolidate IT systems, infrastructure and business‑critical applications across multiple German locations.
• Drive integration of fragmented application landscapes, including doctor and patient data management systems (PDMS) and related healthcare applications.
• Develop and execute the IT roadmap aligned with the group’s acquisition‑driven growth plan.
• Reduce duplicated systems, processes and operating costs.
• Ensure secure, stable and reliable IT operations throughout the organisation.
• Act as a trusted business partner to senior leadership and lead cross‑functional transformation initiatives.
• Lead, develop and motivate an established IT organisation of approximately 35 employees.
• Manage external technology partners and strategic vendors.

Required profile

• Significant leadership experience as Head of IT, IT Director or comparable senior IT role.
• Proven track record integrating and harmonising IT landscapes after acquisitions or within complex multi‑site organisations.
• Experience implementing, consolidating or managing PDMS or similar operational platforms.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity and IT governance.
• Experience in a private‑equity‑backed Buy & Build environment or fast‑growing, decentralised services business.
• Excellent stakeholder management and change‑leadership skills.
• Pragmatic, hands‑on, execution‑oriented leadership style.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Willingness to work regularly on‑site across locations in the Greater Bavarian area.
