IT Infrastructure Engineer (2nd Line) – Munich

About the role

We are seeking an experienced 2nd Line IT Infrastructure Engineer to provide on‑site support for a school campus in Munich. The role combines day‑to‑day infrastructure maintenance with project delivery and stakeholder coordination, helping to transition IT services from a central model to local ownership.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on‑site 2nd line support for LAN, switches, firewalls, Windows Server and virtual environments.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, Intune and other MDM solutions.
• Support Windows 11 devices and iPads used by staff and students.
• Plan and execute cloud migration and other infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate third‑party Managed Service Providers and suppliers.
• Communicate technical changes and planned downtime to non‑technical users.
• Assist with IT service transition activities and future managed‑service procurement.

Required profile

• Fluent in German and English.
• Previous experience in the education sector is advantageous.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Organised with solid project‑management skills.
