Junior Product Engineer

About the role

As a Junior Product Engineer at Sourcevise, you will help ship new features for our AI‑powered sourcing platform. You will work across the full TypeScript stack, turning ideas into live functionality while advancing AI‑driven capabilities such as supplier matching and data extraction.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and roll out end‑to‑end features on the TypeScript stack.
• Advance core AI components by applying prompt engineering, tool‑calling, and retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG).
• Improve performance, reliability, and usability of existing product features.
• Collaborate closely with the sourcing team to translate real‑world usage into technical decisions.
• Maintain high quality through testing, code reviews, and careful validation of AI outputs.

Required profile

• Early experience as a software engineer (internships, working‑student roles, or 1‑2 years of professional work).
• Practical exposure to prompt engineering and language‑model integration.
• Good instinct for data modeling and eagerness to learn modern backend tooling.
• Pragmatic mindset and willingness to ship full‑stack features in a small team.
• Fluent German or strong English communication skills.
