Management Consulting Internship – Data Science & Analytics

About the role

Join BASF’s global management consultancy for a 3‑6 month internship starting September 2026. You will work within the Management Consulting department, supporting both strategic consulting projects and the Data Analytics team to develop data‑driven and AI‑enabled solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, coordination, and implementation of consulting projects for BASF management.
• Support the Data Analytics team by conducting sophisticated data analyses.
• Develop tools and applications that help consultants, using modern technologies and data‑driven approaches.
• Contribute to strategy, marketing, organizational design, and business optimization initiatives.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Ideally some relevant experience in international business consultancy, analytics, or a similar environment.
• Structured, analytical working style combined with a hands‑on mindset and curiosity for new technologies.
• Fluent English skills.
• Applicants from outside the EEA or Switzerland must provide a residence/work permit.

Required skills

• Knowledge of data management, data analysis, and data science.
• Familiarity with data‑visualisation tools such as Power BI or Dash (a plus).
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience with frontend frameworks like Streamlit or similar.
• Exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs) or AI‑based applications.
