Mechanical Designer for Industrial Heating Systems

About the role

Excelitas Technologies is looking for a Mechanical Designer to lead the development of industrial drying and heating systems. You will work closely with sales, project planning, development teams and customers to bring products from concept to final acceptance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee product development for industrial drying, LED and bespoke systems through all stages.
• Prepare technical specifications and define delivery terms for subcontracted work.
• Collaborate with sales, project planning, development and customers to ensure successful project execution.
• Support product maintenance and post‑sale service.

Required profile

• Degree in mechanical engineering or completed technical apprenticeship.
• Several years of experience in sheet‑metal construction for industrial heating or drying systems.
• Structured, results‑oriented work style with high initiative and analytical thinking.
• Fluent written and spoken German and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• 3D CAD modelling, preferably Autodesk Inventor.
• Experience with SAP, especially the ECTR module (desired).
• Knowledge of sheet‑metal construction techniques.
