Senior Computer Vision Engineer – Autonomous Systems

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Computer Vision Engineer to develop cutting‑edge perception algorithms for STARK’s autonomous vehicles. You will work within the Minerva command‑and‑control team, turning research‑grade computer‑vision models into real‑time solutions that run on our hardware in contested environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise object detection, tracking and target re‑identification pipelines.
• Integrate vision algorithms into embedded systems, ensuring real‑time performance under low‑bandwidth and air‑gapped constraints.
• Collaborate with hardware, robotics and C2 software teams to define system architecture.
• Stay abreast of emerging computer‑vision research and propose innovative improvements.
• Debug, profile and resolve complex technical issues in deployed fielded systems.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience as a computer‑vision generalist.
• Proven ability to deliver robust software in fast‑paced, high‑stakes environments.
• Willingness to travel as needed and work on‑site in Berlin.

Required skills

• Advanced Python programming.
• Strong C++ development skills.
• Deep knowledge of computer‑vision techniques, including object detection, tracking and re‑identification.
• Experience with robotics, autonomous driving or aerospace systems is a strong plus.
