Senior Infrastructure & Systems Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure & Systems Engineer to operate, maintain and improve our on‑premise infrastructure. The role involves hands‑on work with Linux, Kubernetes and related technologies to ensure our platforms are secure, scalable and highly available.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and enhance Kubernetes clusters, including configuration, upgrades, scaling and deployment automation using Helm and Docker.
• Operate, maintain and optimise Linux‑based systems in an on‑premise datacenter environment.
• Manage, monitor and troubleshoot RabbitMQ clusters to ensure reliable message delivery and fault tolerance.
• Administer and optimise Redis, Elasticsearch and MySQL databases for performance and stability.
• Support database migration and infrastructure modernisation projects.
• Implement infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform, Ansible, GitLab CI/CD and Puppet.
• Maintain and improve monitoring, logging and alerting systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix and the ELK stack.
• Collaborate with development and product teams on deployment pipelines and performance optimisation.
• Participate in incident response, root‑cause analysis and on‑call rotations.
• Ensure compliance with security and data‑protection requirements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on system or infrastructure engineering experience, primarily in on‑premise environments.
• Strong expertise in Linux system administration (Debian/Ubuntu or RHEL/CentOS).
• Deep knowledge of RabbitMQ clustering, high availability and performance tuning.
• Experience with Redis and Elasticsearch in production.
• Solid practical experience with Kubernetes, Docker and Helm.
• Proven ability to automate infrastructure with Terraform, Ansible, GitLab CI/CD and Puppet.
