Senior Robotics Software Engineer – Embedded Perception

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to develop embedded perception systems for next‑generation UAV platforms. You will work on real‑time camera pipelines, ROS2‑based software, and high‑performance compute modules to deliver reliable autonomy in resource‑constrained environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and integrate real‑time perception pipelines on embedded platforms such as Jetson Nano and Jetson NX.
• Migrate legacy monolithic code to ROS2, refactoring for scalability and maintainability.
• Enable and optimise image data access across native and containerised components, including Dockerised ROS2 processes.
• Develop low‑level camera and sensor drivers for real‑time vision acquisition.
• Collaborate with AI, controls, and hardware teams to ensure tight integration of perception with other onboard subsystems.
• Profile and debug system performance under embedded constraints (compute, thermal, bandwidth) to guarantee stability in field deployments.
• Contribute to system‑level architecture discussions focusing on communication reliability and modularity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Strong experience deploying and integrating ROS2 in real‑world applications.
• Hands‑on expertise with embedded compute platforms, particularly NVIDIA Jetson devices.
• Proven ability to work independently as an individual contributor in fast‑paced, high‑stakes environments.
