Software Developer – Web Development

About the role

JetBrains is looking for a Software Developer to join its Web Development team. You will own services from architecture through deployment and long‑term support, helping to power the company’s web ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop internal, company‑wide web applications and services.
• Define solution architecture, select approaches, and decompose services.
• Build and maintain services in AWS and Kubernetes environments.
• Create tools for localization workflows and integrate third‑party systems.
• Improve reliability, scalability, and observability of existing systems.
• Collaborate with other teams to evolve shared infrastructure and platforms.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of backend web development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin or Java, with experience in Node.js.
• Familiarity with modern backend frameworks such as Ktor and Spring.
• Understanding of distributed‑system fundamentals (networking, fault tolerance, scalability).
• Experience working with cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and take ownership of production systems.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
