System Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a System Administrator to join the Sensory‑Minds team in the Frankfurt/Offenbach area. You will be responsible for keeping our hybrid/remote IT environment running smoothly and supporting roughly 100 colleagues across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate on‑site IT operations and act as the primary point of contact for the Frankfurt/Offenbach office.
• Manage device lifecycle processes including provisioning, onboarding/off‑boarding, and identity & access management.
• Design, deploy and maintain MDM solutions for Apple devices and administer macOS and Linux client environments.
• Support engineering teams by provisioning and optimizing Docker‑based pre‑production and staging environments.
• Maintain internal network and server infrastructure – firewalls, high‑density Wi‑Fi, switching, routing, VLANs, backup and disaster‑recovery systems.
• Collaborate with external service providers (hosting, telecommunications, tooling) and oversee procurement.
• Assist the CISO in managing the ISMS and ensure security best practices are embedded in daily operations.
• Identify and automate repetitive processes to improve efficiency.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training in IT or a degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a comparable field.
• Proven experience administering complex IT environments, especially Apple macOS and Linux systems.
• Comfortable working on‑site four days a week and communicating fluently in German and English.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset, able to handle escalations and deliver sustainable solutions.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
• Solid understanding of IT security principles; knowledge of ISO 27001 ISMS is a plus.
