Technical Data Engineer – Safety Business Unit

About the role

This position is part of the Safety Business Unit, which aims to enable safer, greener and more inclusive industries and transportation systems. You will be the primary contact for technical data within your area of responsibility, supporting both internal teams and airline customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate systems, modules and subsystems with a focus on creating and validating technical data and manuals.
• Produce drawings or data sets, merge documentation and coordinate technical solutions with other departments.
• Process customer inquiries, perform safety assessments and optimise existing solutions.
• Identify and track blocking points, continuously evaluate technical data for quality assurance.
• Act as the interface between technical data, airline customers, internal Airbus teams and external partners.
• Participate in functional and project‑related tasks, including technical project planning and offer preparation.

Required profile

• Completed degree (up to 4 years) in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent vocational training with extensive subject‑specific qualifications.
• Experience as a Technical Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Previous direct customer contact and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical and structured working skills.

Required skills

• Python programming language.
• 3D design tools such as CATIA.
• 3D Juump (or similar 3D modelling tool).
