Full Stack Software Engineer – Cloud & IoT

About the role

Omnisent is an acoustic AI startup in Munich building ultra‑low‑power sonic devices and a Large Acoustic Model to turn sound into real‑time intelligence. As a Full Stack Software Engineer you will create intuitive web applications, robust backend services, and scalable cloud infrastructure that connect sensors, devices, and users.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop web dashboards that visualise complex sensor networks.
• Build backend APIs for device provisioning, fleet management, OTA updates and secure data access.
• Implement secure user provisioning, role‑based permissions and encryption.
• Architect and operate cloud services (storage, authentication, observability) on AWS/GCP/Azure.
• Create internal tools for test automation, debugging and quality workflows.
• Collaborate with embedded, RF and AI teams to ensure seamless device‑cloud‑user integration.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and maintain high reliability in production environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in full‑stack or backend engineering.
• Strong communication skills in English; German is a plus.
• EU work authorization.

Required skills

• Backend development with Node.js, Python or Go.
• Frontend development with React or Vue.
• Design and consumption of secure APIs and authentication/authorization systems.
• Experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS, GCP or Azure) and modern cloud architectures.
• Knowledge of secure software engineering practices.
• CI/CD processes, monitoring and deployment pipelines.
