Senior Employee Relations Specialist

About the role

TomTom is looking for a Senior Employee Relations Specialist to act as the primary liaison between local site management, works councils and trade unions. You will help nurture the TomTom DNA across people processes, ensuring a supportive and compliant work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the contact person for site management, works councils and trade unions on all people‑team matters.
• Support TomTom’s performance management approach and act as the first point of contact for employee queries and job‑related issues.
• Lead restructurings, reorganisations and manage individual cases such as illness, terminations and well‑being initiatives.
• Champion employee well‑being, personal development and act as a brand ambassador for TomTom’s “we care” value.
• Mentor managers and employees on conflict handling, grievance procedures and contribute to global and local HR projects.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of employment law.
• 5–8 years of experience in a similar employee‑relations role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to coach through complex, emotional issues.
• Fluent in English and German; additional languages are a plus.
• Self‑driven, able to set priorities independently and thrive in a dynamic international environment.
