Software Engineer – Android Automotive OS

About the role

As a Software Engineer for Android Automotive OS (AAOS) at MAN Truck & Bus, you will join a strong international team developing the core software platform for our commercial vehicles. You will work in an agile environment, collaborating with functional architects, hardware developers, and test teams to deliver high‑quality embedded software.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement basic software components for control units, including integration of external supplier code or open‑source modules.
• Create and execute developer and regression tests before integration and merge.
• Document components in the MAN development database and release them for unit testing.
• Serve as the primary contact for issues raised by functional architects, developers, hardware teams, integration, and test groups.
• Continuously improve processes, methods, and tools to increase quality, efficiency, and job satisfaction.
• Contribute to the fusion of a CentralVehicleManager unit with AUTOSAR, adaptive AUTOSAR, and the Driver Information & Entertainment system.

Required profile

• Professional experience in electronic control unit development.
• Familiarity with AUTOSAR and adaptive AUTOSAR concepts.
