Vice President Business Development – French‑speaking (Europe)

About the role

Morningstar DBRS is seeking a French‑speaking Vice President of Business Development to join its European team. Based in Frankfurt, Madrid or London, you will drive client acquisition and deepen relationships across France and the Benelux region, covering financial institutions, corporates, government‑related entities and project finance.

Key responsibilities

• Execute a proactive, sales‑driven outreach strategy through in‑person and virtual meetings to strengthen market position and secure new business.
• Manage all stages of the sales process, from prospect identification to proposal preparation.
• Develop and maintain relationships with investors, issuers and intermediaries.
• Coordinate engagement letters, confidentiality agreements, invoicing and compliance requests.
• Liaise with senior Business Development leadership and rating sector heads on banker and issuer relationships.
• Monitor market developments and issuance trends to identify cross‑selling opportunities.
• Produce regular activity reports, including transaction summaries, client targets and growth opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics or a related field.
• Fluent French with business‑level English.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in debt capital markets, securitisation, corporate finance, ratings advisory or a credit rating agency.
• Strong knowledge of the French and Benelux markets and Debt Capital Markets.
• Proven client service, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Results‑oriented with solid research, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Proactive self‑starter who thrives in a fast‑paced environment.

• Base salary range EUR 90,000 – 136,666 per year.
