Working Student IT Support – L1 Help Desk

About the role

We are looking for a motivated working student to join our IT Support team at BayWa r.e. in Munich. The role focuses on Level‑1 (L1) support, helping employees with hardware and software issues and ensuring a smooth user experience across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L1 support for local staff, handling hardware problems with laptops, iPhones and docking stations (factory resets, driver updates, etc.).
• Assist in the installation, configuration and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot initial hardware and software incidents.
• Document incidents, update the knowledge base and hand over complex cases to second‑level support.
• Maintain detailed records of interactions and follow up with users until resolution.
• Deliver courteous customer service to all end‑users.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Information Technology or related study program.
• Available for approximately 20 hours per week for a minimum of six months.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of Windows, iOS and macOS operating systems.
• Familiarity with hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience with driver updates and factory resets on laptops and mobile devices.
