Manufacturing Engineer – Work Measurement & Process Optimization

About the role

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who specializes in work measurement and process optimisation. The role focuses on maximising production efficiency, balancing lines and optimising labour through Methods‑Time Measurement (MTM). You will work closely with R&D to ensure designs are ergonomic, waste‑free and ready for high‑volume manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D during early prototyping to review and simplify manual assembly steps.
• Apply MTM methodologies on CAD models to predict standard assembly times and assess labour‑cost impact.
• Define mistake‑proofing (poka‑yoke) features that make incorrect assembly physically impossible.
• Provide ergonomic guidance to avoid excessive force, awkward postures and repetitive‑strain risks.
• Conduct time‑and‑motion analysis using MTM‑1, MTM‑2 or UAS to establish precise standard times and eliminate waste.
• Design and continuously optimise production line balancing and layout to remove bottlenecks and maximise throughput.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
• Certified MTM practitioner (strongly preferred) with proven experience on a live production floor.
• Solid background in Lean Manufacturing, workplace ergonomics and facility layout design.
