Cyber Security Engineer (Vulnerability Management & SecOps)

About the role

Solaris is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to strengthen the security of its fintech platform. You will work closely with development and product teams to embed security throughout the lifecycle of digital financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular security assessments, penetration testing and vulnerability management to identify and remediate risks.
• Develop, maintain and enforce security policies, procedures and standards tailored to fintech and digital financial services.
• Provide guidance and training to engineers and other staff on security best practices and emerging threats.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate security considerations into new service development and deployment.
• Lead incident investigations related to data breaches, produce reports for management and support incident response and disaster‑recovery planning.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry security trends, regulations and fintech‑specific standards.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial data‑protection regulations.
• Oversee and mentor other security team members to maintain high standards of data protection.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Cybersecurity or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in cybersecurity or software engineering within a high‑growth environment.
• Familiarity with agile workflows and lean principles.
• Business‑level proficiency in written and spoken English; German is a plus.
• Proactive, structured, hands‑on attitude with a continuous‑learning mindset.
