Senior Backend Software Developer – Hybrid (Full‑time/Part‑time)

About the role

As a Senior Backend Software Developer at Connected Consumables, you will design and maintain the backend services that power our medical software and infusion devices. You will work in a hybrid setting, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high‑performance solutions that directly improve cancer care.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for medical software solutions.
• Own and evolve the backend architecture, ensuring robustness and high performance.
• Build and secure RESTful APIs using OpenAPI, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and JWT.
• Model and manage data using PostgreSQL and other relational databases.
• Implement containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes for scalable deployments.
• Monitor and improve system performance using modern observability tools (logging, tracing, monitoring).
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, build tooling, and testing infrastructure.
• Drive code quality through reviews, testing, and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with frontend, hardware, and regulatory teams.

Required profile

• Extensive professional experience in backend software development.
• Proficiency in at least one object‑oriented programming language.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Strong experience with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Interest or experience with containerization and orchestration technologies.
• Solid understanding of authentication and authorization standards.
• Collaborative mindset and high technical ownership.
