Simulation Engineer – Mission Simulation (Munich)

About the role

We are looking for a Simulation Engineer to join STARK’s Mission Simulation team in Munich. You will develop and maintain high‑fidelity software‑in‑the‑loop simulators that support testing, demonstrations and tactical training for autonomous UAVs, surface vessels and electronic‑warfare systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and run central mission simulations that integrate the full software pipeline.
• Integrate software components and modules into the Mission Simulation Software.
• Script realistic battle scenarios and create state‑of‑the‑art training environments.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging simulation technologies and propose innovations.
• Analyse complex technical problems, diagnose issues and deliver robust solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3‑5 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years with strong C/C++ and simulation backgrounds.
• Experience with VBS4 or comparable simulation engines (Unreal, Unity).
• Familiarity with AI data requirements, synthetic data workflows and basic computer‑vision concepts.
• Understanding of military operations, mission structures or tactical environments is a plus.
